ESE Certification for Member Societies Hands-On Courses

ESE is opening its Hands-on Course Certification Programme to Member Societies — bringing independent European recognition to hands-on endodontic courses organised at national level for the first time.

ESE Full Member Societies and International Affiliate Member Societies can now apply to have the courses they organise and govern certified against ESE standards. The programme builds on the certification framework already in place for individual members, and respects our member societies’ regulations and professional governance throughout.

Certified courses receive an ESE Approved digital certification stamp, an official ESE Certificate of Course Approval, a listing on the ESE website as an approved course, and promotion through ESE communication channels. The recognition strengthens the visibility and credibility of Member Society education and gives members access to training aligned with ESE standards.

To qualify, courses must demonstrate evidence-based content, clearly defined learning objectives, qualified instructors, appropriate facilities and equipment, participant assessment and feedback mechanisms, and compliance with ESE quality assurance requirements. Applications are reviewed by the ESE Course Certification Panel, with certification granted for the approved course edition(s) within the application year.

Application fees are €300 for a single hands-on course (1–2 days) and €600 for a modular course, each comprising a non-refundable application fee and an approval fee.

The programme runs as a pilot throughout 2026. Requirements and procedures may be reviewed and refined as it develops.
