A European Framework for Excellence in National Endodontic Education
The European Society of Endodontology (ESE) offers a certification programme for hands-on endodontic courses organised by ESE Full Member Societies and International Affiliate Member Societies. The programme provides independent recognition for educational activities that meet established European standards in endodontic education and professional development.
ESE certification strengthens the visibility, credibility, and quality assurance of national educational programmes while fully respecting national regulations and professional governance structures.

Eligibility
Applications are open to ESE Full Member Societies and ESE International Affiliate Member Societies that organise and govern practical hands-on endodontic courses.
Courses must demonstrate:
- Evidence-based educational content.
- Clearly defined learning objectives.
- Qualified instructors with recognised expertise.
- Appropriate facilities and equipment.
- Participant assessment and feedback mechanisms.
- Compliance with ESE quality assurance requirements.
Certification Process
- Online application submission.
- Review by the ESE Course Certification Panel.
- Recommendations and amendments, where applicable.
- Approval and award of ESE certification.
- Post-course quality assurance through participant feedback and organiser self-assessment.
Certification is granted for the approved course edition(s) within the application year and is subject to compliance with ESE requirements.

- €200 approval fee

Modular Hands-on Course
- €200 application fee (non-refundable)
- €400 approval fee
- Total: €600
Pilot Programme
The ESE Member Society Hands-on Course Certification Programme will operate as a pilot programme during 2026.
Requirements and procedures may be reviewed and refined as the programme develops.
